Consider aging as a spiritual practice? Why not? Our founder, Ernest Holmes, recommended that we maintain flexibility and willingness to keep growing, no matter what our age. Not only is flexibility good for the body, but it benefits our thinking too, keeping us forever expanding in awareness and experience.

Say to yourself, morning and evening, My life is one with the eternal life. My body is an expression of Divine Creation. My mind is a point of awareness within The Thing Itself. I am forever expanding in awareness and experience. I am willing to follow Life’s prompts, and when they come, I follow gladly.
This practice of feeding affirmative concepts to our own mind is stimulating and well worth practicing. You can use our online Affirmative Prayer Library for examples of words to say to yourself in your morning and evening practices. Visit the library at www.cslsr.org. Click on the Support tab at the top of the page to locate it.
