Three things I thought you might want to know about Edward Viljoen’s new book, “Ordinary Goodness: The Surprisingly Effortless Path to Creating a Life of Meaning and Beauty,” which is being published by TarcherPerigee (an imprint of Penguin Random House):
1) It’s excellent!! — Ordinary Goodness received a coveted “Starred Review” from Publishers Weekly, the largest publishing trade magazine (an excerpt from the review is below). The book also has received many pre-publication endorsements, which you can read at the first of the links below.
2) It’s pure Edward — reading through the book, you’ll be able to “hear” Edward’s voice throughout. It’s filled with stories and amazing teaching, like being in a Masterclass with Edward. It’s for readers of books like “Kitchen Table Wisdom” by Rachel Naomi Remen, and books by Anne Lamott. The book is deep but accessible. I believe it will bring many people into our Centers, and will appeal to a broad audience of spiritual readers.
3) It’s on-sale January 3rd. You can pre-order it for yourself and/or your Center’s bookstore from Amazon, New Leaf, DeVorss, Ingrams, or (if you already have an account) from Penguin Random House. It is a paperback at $16, and is also available as an ebook. I’ll include the links below from Penguin Random House and Amazon.
Bravo Edward!!

from Publishers Weekly Starred Review:
“Viljoen brings an appealing, thoughtful calm to his exploration of the idea that Meister Eckhart expresses as ‘the light in the soul.’ Viljoen advocates for ‘ordinary goodness,’ something basic and natural that exists in all of us and is always accessible to us. He invites the reader to slow down, observe, and exercise practices of kindness, mindfulness, compassion, integrity, patience, and faith until they become a ‘welcome guest in us.’ “
