Engage, Learn, and Make a Difference
In a world brimming with complexities, it's crucial not to shy away from the challenge of understanding global events. Life is inherently complex, but we can deepen our comprehension with engagement and learning. It's okay to make mistakes along this journey of self-education.
What matters is our willingness to correct our errors, expand our viewpoints, and continue learning.
A big thank you to TikTok creator JamesIsSmiling for offering resources that springboard into a deeper understanding of world events. Below is a list of creators, including JamesIsSmiling, who provide varied perspectives on global issues not typically covered in mainstream media (These creators often have accounts on other Social Media platforms, like Instagram and YouTube.) Keep in mind these creators are not definitive authorities; they are, however, guides to broader awareness and engagement:

- JustAnotherKid: Provides insight for those in the U.S. feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to contribute.

Take a Break, But Don't Check Out
It's essential to balance our pursuit of knowledge with creative activities, outdoor experiences, social interactions, and rest. For those with spiritual practices, use them to soothe yourself and avoid numbness or paralysis. There is a spiritual support resource at the end of this post.
Talk About it
The more we discuss these issues, the more we uncover our blind spots, misconceptions, and fears. Listen to big ideas you encounter in your learning and ask your circle of friends what they think about them. For example, Dr. Cornel West said recently, "The least we can do at this moment of overwhelming vulgarity is have a ceasefire." His words prompted me to think of the importance of pausing, reflecting, and raising your voice, especially if you find yourself dismayed at your government's decision to veto a call for a ceasefire. Let your friends, family, and government officials know what is in your heart.
