April Theme: Transformation and Evolution

Ernest Holmes, writing about the inner wisdom in all people, expressed that all sacred literature refers to it. “It is that spark which impregnates everything and is buried in everything. It is the spark, which Browning said we can desecrate but never quite lose. It is there, and it contains within itself the upward push of all evolution.” 

How do you increase your awareness of the inner spark Browning is referring to? A practice that works well for me is to remind myself daily with affirmative statements that there is an inner spark of intelligence and wisdom. For example, say to yourself, first thing in the morning, or last thing in the day before you go to bed, 

“There is within me a spark of divine intelligence. I did not create it. I am aware of its guidance and creativity within me. I am willing and able to follow its guidance and benefit from its wisdom. This inner spark is nothing other than my personal connection to the One.”
