Tuesday, November 8, from 9 am to 6 pm, you are invited to join in spiritual community for prayer on Election Day. Drop in or spend the day with us in prayer and contemplation of the highest good for our United States of America. Practitioners will be on hand and affirmative prayer will be given every half hour. Silence will be observed between prayers. This prayer vigil will take place in the new Richard Leo Meditation Chapel upstairs.
We have so much to be grateful for here at the Center for Spiritual Living, and we celebrate our gratitude at the annual Thanksgiving Eve service where traditionally the One Heart Choir performs. I look forward every year to completing my gratitude card, and I look forward every year to receiving in the mail the card I completed the year before! I’m grateful for this seemingly simple and playful tradition. It reminds me of the power of setting in mind a plan to be grateful for something even before it arrives.
I’m grateful for the lives of those in our community who are no longer with us, and for the new life that has come into being. I’m grateful for the fellowship time after Wednesday evening service, yoga, grief support, world peace meditation, the opportunity to practice nonviolent communication, our practitioners, and, most of all, for you, the people who call the Center for Spiritual Living their home.
If you have not already done so, please consider submitting your giving intention form online or by using a paper form available in the Social Hall. Every intention we receive, no matter the amount, helps us plan a brighter future for the Center and for those who call it their spiritual home
"This wonderful book guides any individual to understand Science of Mind with ease and grace. It is a simple and beautiful presentation of the Spiritual Principles Science of Mind teaches. I highly recommend this book to students, licensed Practitioners and ministers. Blessings to Rev Edward." ~ Johan Gonzalez RScP. Practice The Presence Journal
Journaling offers a powerful way to record your spiritual growth. Writing in a journal calls on you to be more conscious of the insights that occur daily in your life. It gives you an opportunity to examine your beliefs and be mindful of your choices.
Seeing Good At Work
I have been through the book three times over three years, and am starting it again. This is not because the material in the book is not working, but because it is working so well! The weekly lessons keep me on track and focused on what is actually true and important, and help me experience more good in every area of my life. LS
