Beyond Limits: Recognizing the Path

Share it Please
edward indian canyonTucked in the corner of the workbook's first page is a quote:  Spirituality is natural goodness.  God is not a person; God is a Presence personified in us.  Spirituality is not a thing; It is the atmosphere of God's Presence, goodness, truth and beauty.  Religion is a life, a living. These words are from Ernest Holmes, and they announce the spirit of the class that uses this workbook: Beyond Limits:  there is an all pervading Presence which we call God, and when we recognize It for what It is, and let is inform our choices and behavior, things change for the good.
Recognizing the Path is the first segment of the class and provides a foundation from which to begin exploring how to live a spiritual life.  Students are introduced to the New Thought Movement (a cute term since so much in the New Though Movement is based on very ancient thought) and the first Basic Idea--oneness--upon which everything else in the course is based.
A note from your teacher (that would be me, Edward Viljoen, and Kathleen Kearney--we are co-
teaching the class, first 5 weeks by Kathleen and second by me--both of us long time lovers of this material):
This class is a special experience.  It is an investment in time that can pay off in incredible ways in your life.  You will be amazed at the growth in the coming 10-week period, and the growth that can ensue continuously thereafter.  This class is a supportive experience.  You may not have been in any class for a while, and may feel some trepidation about being here.  You will be nurtured and respected.  Just hang in there with everyone--you will be glad you did.
You'll learn about different forms of meditation, how the creative process works in the individual, te threefold nature of the One (that's a whole lot of fun, that lesson is), the benefit of cleaning up your language, the impact of your thinking on your life, emotions and habits, the recipe for affirmative style prayer, and so much more.
Class begins on May 14 and lasts for 10 weeks.  Details about the schedule and registration may be found here.

Seeing Good At Work
I have been through the book three times over three years, and am starting it again. This is not because the material in the book is not working, but because it is working so well! The weekly lessons keep me on track and focused on what is actually true and important, and help me experience more good in every area of my life. LS
