Unlocking the Wonder of Interbeing: A Call to Stay Engaged

Share it Please

A minister named Savanna Noelle, who was raised in Centers for Spiritual Living, recently discussed how chaos and distraction can draw attention away from what truly matters. She recounted her time in Egypt following the Arab Spring and later in Ukraine amid unrest. Her experiences illustrated how deliberate overwhelm can leave individuals feeling powerless and disengaged from the world. Rather than yielding to distraction, I recognized the importance of remaining vigilant and connected to the inner source of creative intelligence that navigates turbulent times.

During one such moment, a striking news alert nearly commandeered my focus. I paused, acknowledged that impulse, and returned to my study of Franklin Thomas and Black History. His legacy as an American philanthropist, pioneering leader at the Ford Foundation, and advocate for community development sparked in me a renewed sense of purpose. I came to see that his efforts—from generating employment and supporting community organizations to elevating marginalized voices—serve as a clear reminder of our intricate interconnection as human beings.

This journey of self-education reinforced the value of unique identities and connections

A personal spiritual practice that nurtures my appreciation for diversity begins by clearing the mind. When distractions subside, the mind is free to absorb the wide range of human expression. By staying anchored to practices such as creative reflection and mindful awareness, I remain engaged with the world instead of becoming overwhelmed.

A key method for maintaining this focus is returning to personal anchors that sustain my energy. Whether through connecting with loved ones, fostering creativity, or practicing loving kindness, these anchors ground me and help me rise above the noise. They encourage the celebration of each person’s distinct identity and the varied experiences that every individual contributes. This renewed focus has opened my eyes to the strength of connection, the significance of thoughtful reflection, and the creative potential inherent in all of us.

I extend an invitation to explore these themes of connection, interbeing, and creative intelligence at our Sunday service, held in a welcoming space where a spiritual mind treatment guides our awareness and connection:

Recognition:
The Supreme Essence stands as the boundless source of creative intelligence. It is ever-present, transcending time and space, and forms the foundation of every experience and possibility.

Unification:
I share a deep connection with this Infinite Presence. Its qualities of love, wisdom, and compassionate guidance flow into every part of my being, uniting me with the pulse of life.

Realization:
Life unfolds as a dynamic interplay of interconnected potential, where every moment expresses unity and creative possibility. This living reality affirms that my journey is an ongoing expression of connection.

Thanksgiving:
A warm, gentle thankfulness fills my heart, nourishing my spirit and reinforcing my presence in the moment.

Release:
With complete trust, these intentions are released into the embrace of the Infinite Presence. The journey continues, and everything unfolds in perfect order.

Service Details:
Sunday service begins at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., available in person or online.
