Join us on the evening of Wednesday, November 27, for a heartfelt gathering filled with music, inspiration, and a unique opportunity to set your intentions for the year ahead.
An Evening of Music and Meaning
The service will feature Christopher Fritzsche, the Center Band, and our choir, offering music that uplifts and inspires. Alongside these melodies, Dr. Edward Viljoen will share a special message, weaving together the themes of gratitude, intention, and spiritual growth. It’s an evening designed to stir your heart and center your mind.
The Thanksgiving Intention Card Tradition
One of the most meaningful aspects of this service is the Thanksgiving Intention Card practice. During the service, you’ll have the chance to write down what you intend to be thankful for in 2025. These cards are collected and lovingly kept by the Center throughout the year, then mailed back to you next November as a powerful reminder of your intentions and the journey you’ve taken.
To participate fully:
- Bring a pen or pencil to write your intentions.
- Bring a postage stamp so your card can be mailed back to you.
If you can’t attend in person, you can still take part:
- Request Cards by Mail: Contact Allan Yeager, Communications Officer, at allan.yeager@cslsr.org, and we’ll mail intention cards to you.
- Pick Up Cards at the Center: Visit the information desk in the Social Hall to collect your 2025 Thanksgiving Intention Cards.
Attend In Person or Online
For those joining us in person, the warmth of community and shared gratitude will fill the room. If you’re unable to attend, you can still experience the service virtually. The Thanksgiving Eve Service will be broadcast on the same channels as our 9 am Sunday service. Click here to find the links.
A Moment to Look Forward
As we gather on Thanksgiving Eve, we’re reminded that gratitude is more than a reflection of the past—it’s a declaration of what we’re ready to welcome in the future. Whether you join us in the sanctuary or from the comfort of your home, this service is a beautiful way to begin the holiday season with a heart full of gratitude and a spirit of hope.
Bring your intentions, your open heart, and your willingness to envision the blessings of the year to come. We look forward to sharing this sacred time with you.
