Dear Friends,
This month’s theme is Spiritual Living through Love, Compassion, and Caring. Our recommended book is Ordinary Goodness, which I wrote. The central theme of the book is that there is something in us, something natural, that when we turn to it, it comes to life and guides us to love one another. That something I called ordinary goodness, and one of the ways it seeks expression through us is in our capacity to be kind to one another.
“When difficulties arise, sometimes I panic, but now I have learned to pay attention and notice the moments when panic appears to see if I can interrupt the inclination and return my attention to something calming and empowering.”
—Ordinary Goodness
Ernest Holmes wrote that Love is an essence, an atmosphere, which is common to all people, animals, and plant life. That essential nature, our loving nature, is the focus of this month’s Sunday messages. Together we will consider the answer to the question, “What would goodness have me do?”
I look forward to a wonderful month of exploring the ordinary goodness, kindness, and compassion that lives at the center of your being.
Warm regards,
Edwad Viljoen
