The topic today, “We Look Too Far Away for Reality,” comes from a well-known portion of Ernest Holmes’s The Science of Mind in which he writes:
It is a beautiful and true thought to realize that every person stands in the shadow of a mighty Mind, a pure Intelligence, and a divine givingness! The farmer has seen the Heavenly Host in the fields. The child has frolicked with It at play. The mother has clasped It to her breast and the fond lover has seen It in the eyes of their beloved. We look too far away for Reality.
The passage is a beautiful reminder to look for, notice, and appreciate the presence of Divinity in everything we do.
Next Sunday, on Christmas morning, we will be practicing doing that. The
topic is “Recognizing the Light Within,” and I will be the speaker at our one service at 10 am. Because of the holy day, there will be no Youth and Family program. Young ones are welcome to attend service with the adults. Evening service will be at 7 pm.
Warm regards,
