Broadening horizons

Share it Please

“The problems of the world cannot possibly be solved by skeptics or cynics whose horizons are limited by the obvious realities. We need men who can dream of things that never were.”

John Fitzgerald Kennedy

To practice being aware of the Presence of Divinity calls us to look beyond what is obvious, normal and routine. To do so try imagining what it might be like to be born into a different culture or in a different age. How would your beliefs differ from those you have today? What would your life be like if you were a different gender and what do you think would be the advantages and disadvantages? Try to imagine also how your current beliefs about the world may be limited. Is there some way you can broaden your horizons today?
